| Love Is Rising |
While volunteering for TEN3 in my village in Africa, I met a young woman whose circumstances challenged her about whether or not she was loved. She first said that God does not love her at all because of what she has gone through. She lost her only son, four years old, and now all the family including her husband hates her. She sells lottery tickets for a living.
I wrote on her computer screen saver, “God loves you.” When she returned to class, she saw her screen saver and shouted, “Who says God loves me?” I used John 3:16 to let her know that it is the love of God. He accepted His only son’s dying for us including her so we can have everlasting life.
At the end of the first week of classes, she came and told me that she knew that God loves her, but it is not even 60%. Praise God at the end of the training, through counseling and sharing God’s love, she said that now she knows that God loves her 100% and the next time we meet, God’s love for her will be 120%.
I gave her a Bible, but until today, she has not decided to follow Christ. Her last words to me were, “Now I know God loves me too.” |

The leadership of TEN3 is also very aware of the commitment many advocates and volunteers have to pray for the ministry. TEN3 Moment, a brief newsletter sent every other week, will help uphold this commitment by offering current prayer needs while also staying connected to the prayers of TEN3 staff.
